Parents Resource Centre
Parents Resource Centre aim at providing various support to parents & relatives with family members with disabilities / children with special needs, to assist parents to develop potentials and make good use of community resources.
Objective
To enhance the parents and other family members, relatives’ knowledge and acceptance of their family members/ relatives with disabilities / children with special needs. They will enhance self-support and mutual help within and among families with members with disabilities. And also, they will enhance public understanding and acceptance of persons with disabilities.
Scope of Service
- Mutual Support Groups among members with disable family members.
- Toy and books library.
- Talks on parenting and understanding special needs.
- Enquiry and Counseling Services.
(Counseling Service is provided by SAHK Shek Wai Kok Parents Resource Centre) - Developmental and recreational programs.
- Community Education.
