Transitional Residential and Holistic Rehabilitation Service

Tetraplegic patients, after being discharged from the hospital, needs to overcome numerous hurdles before they can once again integrate back into the society. In 2009 the Jockey Club New Page Inn, the first in the whole of SE Asia, started operation. It provides transitional residential and community support service, so that through counseling, computer usage, bowel and bladder training etc. All these focus will assist the clients to control the daily living skills and enhance their independence and confidence for them to return to their home as early as possible.

Scope of Service

  • Transitional residential and holistic rehabilitation service including: individual professional counseling, physiotherapy, occupational therapy,

Community living training, training for carers etc.

  • Day support service : To provide continuing rehabilitation day training to clients who are residing at home. To help to establish a social network and to provide training to carers so that the clients can maintain and improve their ability to live in the community.
  • Respite service : To provide temporary residential service to clients in need.

Target Clientele :

  • Transitional Residential and holistic rehabilitation service :
    • Tetraplegic patients aged 15 and above
    • Physically and emotionally stable
    • No infectious disease
    • Determined to live in the home and has a plan mapped out for integration into the home environment
    • The family members and carer
  • Day support and respite service
    • Tetraplegic patients aged 15 and above, the family members and carer

Application Procedure

  • All applicants to transitional residential and holistic rehabilitation servicemust be referred through medical doctors and personnel from the Hospital Authority
  • Day support service can be referred through medical doctors and personnel from the Hospital Authority
  • Respite service can be applied directly by the tetraplegic patients or their carers

Transitional Residential and holistic rehabilitation service

Residential fee :$1,871./month

Day support training

$61/session

Special transportation : $10/each trip(Limited to traveling between home and the Centre)

Respite service

$81./day

Service Hours;

Transitional Residential and respite care service :Whole year round

Day training : Monday to Friday from 8a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday from 8a.m. to 1p.m.
