Charity Walk 2024 Successfully Held, Thousand People Participated
The Association Charity Walk 2024 was successfully held on 27 January and nearly 1,000 people gathered at the Tai Po Pak Shek Kok Promenade to participate. As Mrs. Josephine PANG, MH, Chairperson of the Association, said in her speech, "Every step of the Association's development, we have all of you stay with us and walking together". The Walk successfully raised more than 1 million!
The Walk started at Pak Shek Kok Waterfront Park, walked along the promenade, passed through the Science Park, and turned at the Providence Bay Phase 1 on Chong San Road. The whole journey is about 4 kilometers. Participants included the general public, as well as the Association’s Council and Committee members, staff, service users and their carers, as well as 3 star guests, Mr. Adam PAK, Ms Kendy CHEUNG and Ms Lisa CHENG. The 3 star guests also led the warm-up exercise with the Association's Occupational Therapists before the Walk. The Association has set up cute check-in booths along the route, where everyone can take selfies.
The Association would like to thank every participants, and also the 3 Co-Chairpersons of Charity Walk 2024 Organising Committee, Ms Jacqueline CHOW, Ms Winnie LEUNG and Ms Sally CHUE, as well as the Committee Members Ms Chilly FONG, Mr. Benny TSANG and Mr. TSANG Sio Kong. The funds raised from the Walk will be used to fund the Association's education and rehabilitation services to help persons with different disabilities at all ages to realise their full potential, maximize their independence and self-reliance, and become participating members of the society.
The officiating guests, sponsor representatives and nearly a thousand participants took photos and then started to walk.
