HKCSS interviewed Jockey Club C · Care Programme – SAHK Carers Support Service user

As a rehabilitation service organisation, the Association not only provides professional rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities but also takes care of the carers of persons with disabilities. The Jockey Club C · Care Programme – SAHK Carers Support Service (JCCCP) always provides all-round support for the carers. JCCCP’s service user 灝賢媽媽 (Chinese only) told The Hong Kong Council of Social Service in the interview that when her husband passed away in his sleep, she felt lost and could rely on no one. At the same time, she still had to take care of her son who suffered from cerebral epilepsy and has limited mobility, and that’s made she felt extreme pressure at that time. But luckily she came up with JCCCP and found out many people care about her. She also shared the details of support service provided by JCCCP in the interview. The Association’s team coordinator Ms Summer M. H. Man gave encouragement to the carers in the interview.
