The Association is always committed to promoting professional development, actively participating in international exchanges, and keeping abreast of the latest developments in the rehabilitation field!
Previously, Ms Nancy SHAW, Senior Manager of the Association's New Territories West Integrated Community Rehabilitation Centre (ICRC), and Ms GOH Lee Yin, a Physiotherapist I , participated in the 14th Pan-Pacific Conference on Rehabilitation, organised by the Department of Rehabilitation Science at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Ms GOH presented on "ICF-based Teamwork for Holistic Community Rehabilitation: A Hong Kong Pilot Programme," introducing to local and overseas professionals how the ICRC, as a pilot community rehabilitation center in Hong Kong, utilises the International Classification of Functioning and Disabilities (ICF) to assess the effectiveness of rehabilitation training and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
Ms GOH also shared the standard workflows currently developed by the ICRC's interdisciplinary team, referencing the Rehab-Cycle, to ensure a structured interprofessional collaboration.
