Distinguished Guests Visit and Acknowledge Center's Achievements, Encourage Voting
On 18th November 2025, the Association was visited by 中央政府駐港聯絡辦社工部副部長周和博士and李越瀚四級調研員(Chinese only) at the Association's New Territories West Integrated Community Rehabilitation Centre (ICRC). They learned about the centre's facilities, services, and operations. Mr. Edmond Lau, Chief Executive of the Association, Ms. Dawn Tang, Deputy Chief Executive, Ms Angel Fan, Head of Child and Family Support Services(CFSS), Ms Nancy Shaw, Senior Manager of the Association's New Territories West Integrated Community Rehabilitation Centre, and Ms Ivy Huen, Deputy Head of Adult Services, were among those who welcomed them.
The group toured the centre's facilities and services, gaining a deeper understanding of the day care services and the advanced equipment used. 周和副部長(Chinese only) affirmed and appreciated the centre's operational achievements and encouraged colleagues to continue their efforts in rehabilitation services.
In addition, 周和副部長(Chinese only) encouragedcolleagues to exercise their voting rights in the Legislative Council's Social Welfare functional constituency and make appropriate choices. The Association has cooperated with the Social Welfare Department (SWD) to encourage colleagues, service users, and caregivers to exercise their civic rights. The Head Office has arranged for 60 staff members, including the CEO, Deputy CEOs, Service Heads, Deputy Service Heads, middle-level staff, and frontline staff, to participate in various government election-related activities; each unit has also posted Legislative Council election posters; on the day of the Legislative Council election, each service unit would do its best to assist service users and their caregivers in participating in the voting; at the same time, the Association has approved a half-day compensation leave for all staff members who participated in voting on 7th December, the Legislative Council election day, and the centre would provide daytime care, escort, and transportation services to eligible service users on election day.
