The Association was awarded as a Caring Employer
The ‘Caring Employer’ Medal Presentation Ceremony 2025, organised by the Labour and Welfare Bureau and supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, was held on 10th October at the Hong Kong Palace Museum, West Kowloon Cultural District. The Association was invited to attend, and Ms Edith S. K. HUNG, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Association, accepted the highest level award ‘Level 3: Disability Inclusive Pioneer’ on behalf of the Association.
In addition to Ms HUNG, Mr. HUI Hung Pan, the service user from Erik Kvan Integrated Vocational Rehabilitation Services Centre, also participated in the ceremony, receiving the ‘Merit’ award of ‘Caring Employer’ Medal Design Competition (Persons with Disabilities Group). Mr. HUNG has cerebral palsy since childhood, limiting his limb movement, but with the help of technology and his resilient character, he skillfully used computer software to design his entry for the competition. The officiating guests, Mr. HO Kai-ming, JP, Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, and Mrs Winnie KANG, JP, Commissioner for Rehabilitation, encouraged him to continue his efforts.
The Association fully understands the significance of this award and will certainly redouble its efforts to promote workplace inclusion and facilitate employment for people with disabilities.
