Internship matching portal for Youth with SEN

"Jockey Club Collaborative Project for Inclusive Employment – "Diversity Works”: Internship Portal for Youth with Special Educational Needs” (the portal) co-organised by the Association and the Jockey Club Charities Trust has always supported youth with SEN to obtain internship opportunities and persuaded a lot of companies to provide opportunities for these young people.

The portal targeted youth with SEN aged above 15 with normal or above intellectual functioning. The portal helps them to find suitable internships based on their specialties and characteristics and provides support services. Also, the portal communicates closely with the business partners and carries out on-site visits to update the participants’ progress. When the internship ends, the portal will issue a performance evaluation form to help the participants’ future career development.

The portal has released a short video about the real life experience of 3 service users, Ming、Martin and Thomas. They seized the opportunity to open up a career path for themselves. And the 3 corporations which worked with the portal realised the good performance of the youth with SEN and the advantages of inclusiveness in the workplace through providing job opportunity for the youth with SEN.
