Throwing party for carers, DIY straw doll relieving stress
Jockey Club C · Care Programme – SAHK Carers Support Service (JCCP) has been concerned of the pressure faced by carers. The Parents Resource Hub Programme co-organised with the Association’s Adult Service provides the carers with a chance to take a break. These include activities like 「照顧者慢活花園」(Chinese only) and 「照顧者閃耀時光咖啡室」(Chinese only)which occur on a monthly basis. Allowing for the carers to take a break, relieve stress and socialize with the comrades.
Last month, 「照顧者閃耀時光咖啡室」(Chinese only) garden gathering was held. Focusing on caregiver’s strain on the body, introducing some gerontech products, including bed exit monitoring system and sensitive doll and many more, allowing for carers to implement technology to better monitor and take care of themselves. During the gathering, carers were given the opportunity to create their own unique straw doll, they even gave their own dolls names. All in hopes of when the carers sees this doll, they would be reminded to take better care of themselves. Through the JCCCP programme, the Association hopes to motivate the carers and continue to keep up the good work!
