Entertaining talent showing bible reading
"We advance in rehabilitation” (卓越展能) is the belief of the Association, the students of its special schools are also multi-talented in culture, music, arts, sports, etc. Earlier, the SAHK Jockey Club Elaine Field School (EFS)(香港耀能協會賽馬會田綺玲學校) organised the "I Believe I Can'' Musical and Art Sharing Session.
The event is held on the 2nd of June at Grand Theatre of Heung Yee Kuk Building with three special guests invited. With the representative of AR Charitable Foundation Limited-陳文翰先生(Chinese only), Ms Winnie W. C. LEUNG, School Supervisor of EFS, and Mr. Benjamin K.M. WONG, Vice School Supervisor hosting the opening ceremony. After which an hour long musical was then performed with 8 different interest groups, namely, the drama group, harp group, percussion group, magic group, brass group, dance group, hand pan group and cantonese opera group. They all performed both in a group and independently, providing over 300 audiences onsite with a fun and interesting performance.
Apart from the musicals, there were also 6 different visual arts exhibitions in the sharing session, including a student Exhibition featuring students' paintings, Graduate's Photography Exhibition by Mr LING Tsz Hin, the graduate, another photography Exhibition by the students guided by local photographer劉栩先生(Chinese only) and Lester, Mimi TANG x EFS Art Exhibition taught by celebrity Dr. Mimi TANG, "Artistic Elite" ("藝育菁英")x EFS Art Exhibition, and lastly Mr. Ian LEE’s Exhibition.
We would like to thank the teachers and students of the school for their wonderful performances, which were prepared for countless hours beforehand. We are also grateful to AR Charitable Foundation Limited for sponsoring the event, this event has proved that art is a good way to bridge the gap between students and the public, achieving inclusion, allowing the public to better understand them through the medium of the student’s art.
