Three schools compete in ball games, the world of sports is for all!
On the last day of June, the three special schools of the Association jointly organised the sports day (耀能60載 繽紛新天地 『傷健共融 體育世界) (Chinese only), where teachers, students, parents, and volunteers, totaling close to 600 people, gathered for the first time since the resumption of the epidemic to have fun, play ball games, and celebrate this year's 60th anniversary of the Association.
The Association invited Mrs. LI HO Suk Wa, Gloria, Principal Education Officer (Special Education) of the Education Bureau as the Officiating Guest, together with Mrs. Josephine M.W.TSUI PANG, MH, Chairperson of the Association, Professor Kenneth K.F. SIN, MH, Professor of the Department of Special Education and Counseling, The Education University of Hong Kong, to be the Guests of Honor for this event, Mr. Benjamin K.M.Wong, Vice School Supervisor of SAHK Jockey Club Elaine Field School, and Mr. Eddie K.T. SUEN, Sponsoring Body Manager of of the three school and Chief Executive Officer of the Association, officiated at the launching ceremony, and would like to thank a number of school managers of the three schools for their attendance and participation in the event.
In the morning, there were more than 10 game booths prepared by the volunteer team of The Education University of Hong Kong to give out prizes, and in the afternoon, there were balloon volleyball and kin-ball etc competition. The kin-ball games emphasize teamwork and sportsmanship, which is very much in line with the theme of the event, "Inclusion of the Disabled and the Healthy Sports ".
The best performance award went to SAHK Ko Fook Iu Memorial School, the best inclusion award went to Sahk B M Kotewall Memorial School, and the active participation award and the best cheerleader award went to SAHK Jockey Club Elaine Field School.
