Interactive learning and growing experience
The Association hopes to let special education needs (SEN) children be more confident in making friends and going out, therefore the Association has hosted an event by Shek Wai Kok Parents Resource Centre (SWKPRC) in the morning of 6th May. The event "甜甜蜜蜜情人節夫婦活動之孩子歷奇大冒險”(Chinese only) allows SEN children ranging from 5 to 12 years old to participate. Many thanks to the 7 volunteers from Conpak CPA Limited (Conpak) and the Association staff members for taking the kids around the venue and monitoring them, the communication between the volunteers and the children allows for them to develop better social skills.
The activity was divided into two parts, with SWKPRC arranging the parents of the children to go into the Discovery Bay area to carry out various community exploration tasks, and the "心鎖長廊" was one of the stops, which tested the compatibility of the two couples and strengthened the relationship between them. At the end of the program, the participating families had lunch with the volunteers and exchanged their experiences of the morning's "adventures" with each other to promote inclusion.Thanks again to the participation of the families and the support of the volunteers from Conpak, we hope that this activity will become a memorable and fun memory for the children.
