Students of the Association’s Jockey Club Elaine Field School learn the concept of environmental conservation and life education through keeping butterflies

Keeping butterflies is one of the STEM projects of the Association’s Jockey Club Elaine Field School this year. The project integrates STEM with the theme of butterfly breeding, allowing students to raise and observe the growth of caterpillars from the start of raising larvae until the pupa emerges from its cocoon. On 12 October 2020 and 23 October 2020, teachers and students released the butterflies to the nature. From the project, students not only understood different stages of a butterfly’s life, but also learned to respect life and the importance of environmental conservation.
