The Association’s service users had outstanding performances in “iRun 2020”

Marathon running is becoming popular nowadays. Joined by the Association’s Shek Wai kok Parents Resource Centre, LOHAS Garden, Chai Wan Workshop, Erik Kwan Workshop and Hostel, Fu Tung Hostel and Training Centre as well as thousands of athletes, the ‘TWGHs "iRun” – The Hong Kong Jockey Club Special Marathon 2020’ was successfully held on 12 January 2020. St. Paul's Co-educational College Alumni Association sent 11 volunteers to be the guide runners of the athletes in the Shek Wai Kok Parents Resource Centre. In order to improve their physical fitness and cultivate mutual understandings, they underwent several training sessions before the race together.

On event day, all athletes performed amazingly well. Shum Lok Yan, teenage member of the Shek Wai Kok Parents Resource Centre, won the trophy in 3KM Challenge Group Teens (Female) F1 with the time 13:09; Cheung Ho Lun and Yeung Chun Man, teenage members, came second and third in 3KM Challenge Group Youth (Female) F2 and 3KM Challenge Group Youth (Male) M2 respectively. Besides, Wong Kit Bing, service user of the Chai Wan Workshop, was the 1st Runner-up in 3KM Challenge Group Evergreen (Female) F4.

The Association would like to congratulate all the awardees. Also, our sincere gratitude must be given to Skechers for sponsoring the sporting goods and St. Paul's Co-educational College Alumni Association for sending volunteers as guide runners to assist in training, and supported social inclusion in action.
