The Association’s service users participated in the TWGHs “iRun” –Hong Kong Jockey Club Special Marathon 2019

Over 70 service users from different units of the Association participated in the TWGHs "iRun” –Hong Kong Jockey Club Special Marathon 2019 on 13 Jan 2019. Ms Winnie W. C. Leung, the Association’s Council Member, and 17 volunteers of the St. Paul's Co-educational College Alumni Association accompanied the Association’s trainees in training sessions and competition. Finally, various service users performed well and completed the race.

The Association’s service users were well- prepared by undergoing several training sessions with the pair-up runners of the St. Paul's Co-educational College Alumni Association to enhance body condition and cultivate mutual understanding On the event day, students, parents and trainees from the Association’s Shek Wai Kok Parents Resource Centre, Chai Wan Workshop and Hostel, LOHAS Garden, Fu Tung Hostel and Training Centre, Erik Kwan Workshop and Hostel, and Jockey Club Elaine Field School paired up with volunteers to participate in the race. Ms Shum Lok Yan, service user of the Association’s Shek Wai Kok Parents Resource Centre, completed the race in 13:18, was the champion in the Teen (Female) Group of 3KM Challenge Race . She will join the oversea marathon race , representing Hong Kong. In the Youth (Female) Group, Ms Chu Lai Ting was the 1st running up with the time 15:10. The results were encouraging.

The Association would like to congratulate all the awardees, and wish them to keep on training hard and reach another climax. Besides, the Association would like to extend the heartfelt thanks to Skechers and St. Paul's Co-educational College Alumni Association for their generous sponsorship and support.
