Parents Resource Hub short video series – 'To the Future Me'
The Association invited 3 carers to share in a video what they have gained from participating in the Association’s Parents Resource Hub. The theme of the third episode is "To the Future Me". Like many carers, LAI Tsz Wa’s mother forgot to give herself some breathing room when taking care of family members with disabilities. But the Parents Resource Hub made her understand that she is very important. She hopes that she can also remember in the future that not only her son is precious, but she is also precious!
The Association applied for funding from the Community Chest and established the Parents Resource Hub. It focuses on supporting parents of adult service users of the Association and provides them with a series of support, including organising fitness groups that help to alleviate the pain of carers and different stress-relieving activities. Hope that all these supports to remind carers to pay attention to their mental health, and at the same time get to know and support each other.
