Parents Resource Hub short video series – 'Please Appreciate Yourself'
To share positive energy with carers, the Association invited 3 parents of adult service users to share in a video what they have gained from participating in the Association’s Parents Resource Hub. In the second episode "Please Appreciate Yourself", Apple, one of the carers, said the Parents Resource Hub taught her to thank you and appreciate herself. She encourages other carers, they need to stay healthy both physically and mentally to take good care of their families. She also called on carers to join the Parents Resource Hub and to share more about their feelings with other carers.
The Association applied for funding from the Community Chest and established the Parents Resource Hub. It focuses on supporting parents of adult service users of the Association. The support includes hoping to help them relax and get to know other carers and eventually, they can help themselves and support each other.
