SAHK 60th Anniversary Celebration — Characteristics of Exoskeleton

For the past 60 years, the Association continuously provide professional and high quality rehabilitation services for different age and disability groups. As this year marks the 60th Anniversary of the Association, we took this opportunity to produce a 12 short videos on different health fields and vocational rehabilitation issues, in which the Association’s professionals gave advice on different issues.

The mobility of patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury is not as good as that of ordinary people. Not only do they get tired easily during rehabilitation training, but their training effectiveness is often affected by improper muscle force. The Association introduced Exoskeleton in recent years that can help service users improve human balance and increase the mobility of hip and knee joints. It is easier to simulate walking postures than traditional rehabilitation training. In the eighth episode of the short videos, Mr. LEUNG Wing Kai, the Association’s Physical Therapists I, explained the mystery of this new technology.
